28 week update

Well, we have almost made it to 28 weeks. Gage is really very active. I am running to Ken or grabbing his hand ever few minutes to try to get him to feel my belly.

We had our second childbirth class last week and we go again tonight. Ken is always acting like he is not paying attention but I learned last week that he is paying probably more attention than I am. We learned all the breathing techniques, which I thought he was laying on the ground with the pillows taking a break like the rest of the dads, but when we got into the car he said the long breath is 3 seconds and the short one 2 seconds. Then I knew he was paying attention. I have to admit the class is a little boring at times. Our teacher's son my Mom taught in school. Of course this is a little x-rated but Ken had to make the comment in front of the entire class when we were doing the short breathing "Isn't this the same noise that got all of this into this situation?" Everyone laughed as I am apologizing to the teacher. She was laughing also. Guess I should lighten up a bit.

Ken went to a Ducks Unlimited banquet last week. He met the President of Delta Waterfowl and had breakfast with him. Ken was so excited because he bought this huge duck banner to hang in his shop and the President signed it to Gage wishing him Happy Hunting!!! I just love how much Ken is already in love with this little boy and he is not even here yet!!! I am one lucky gal to have such a great husband and father for my child.

I have attached a couple of pictures from my last sonogram. I get the to have one everytime I go to the Doctor. We go again on the 31st, so I will report back with the latest news.

Gage got his first pair of cowboy boots last night from his Aunty Kelly and Kimberly. This child is going to be spoiled rotten.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and the little update.

26 week update

I thought I would start this website for all of our friends and family who live so far away. It will be easier for everyone to keep up.

Ken and I started childbirth classes last night at our hospital, Denton Regional Medical Center. That was an experience! It really brings reality to life. Ken was busy drawing pictures of me pregnant. He was sure to add a lot of detail to my big belly. It was fun and we still have 4 weeks left to go.

Gage is starting to be very active and move around alot. I went to the Doctor last week and had another sonogram. Everything seems to be going well. I still have placenta previa at this point but they will be monitoring me and doing another sonogram on January 31st to see if the placenta has moved. Worse case scenario, I have to have a c-section. It is so amazing to see all of the sonograms and hear the heartbeat. He likes to suck his thumb. It is too cute!!! He is no longer breech and I have a feeling he turned the night we say "Walk the Line". This child would not quit moving. That was the first time I really felt the movement.

I will post some pictures of the sonogram soon. We are still on the same due date of April 19, 2006.
